Photo of three Republican armored cars on the Calle de Ramon Pignatelli in front of the bullring in Zaragoza, Aragon, after the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. Such armored vehicles used by the Republican troops consisted mostly only of trucks reinforced with armor plates, which were armed with a turret machine gun. The vehicles had little military value due to their size, low armament and lack of mobility. Therefore they were used primarily for troop transport. The vehicles are being watched by passers-by
