Return of mortal remains of the expedition team of Salomon A
The Swedish engineer and Arctic explorer Salomon August Andree (1854-1897) and his team attempted to cross the North Pole from Spitsbergen in their balloon Eagle'. They started on 11. July 1897. The participants of the expedition were missing, however, until one found remains northeast of Spitsbergen, including diaries and photographs in 1930. An honor guard salutes the coffin which is covered with a Swedish flag at the arrival in Stockholm
