Rohrbach RO III with sails hoisted, 1925

The Rohrbach Ro III was a flying boat built by Rohrbach Metallflugzeugbau'. They set up their factory in Copenhagen in order to bypass the rules and regulations of the Treaty of Versailles. Only 7 flying boats of this type were ever produced; some of them as passenger aircrafts and some as a military version. All of the RO III flying boats were most likely sold to Japan. Date created: 01.08.1925-31.08.1925
