Romania joins the Tripartite Pact between Germany, Italy, Japan and more recently Hungary. In the New Reich Chancellery from left Romanian Foreign Minister Mihail Sturdza, General Ion Antonescu, Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop (left behind Ernst von Weizsaecker), Ambassador Saburo Kurusu, the Italian diplomat Buti (Head of the Political Department of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Hungarian Minister in Berlin Excellence Dome Sztojay. In the background behind Antonescu, Alexander Freiherr von Doernberg can be seen. Date created: 23.11.1940
