Salomon Andree's expedition team in Spitsbergen
One of the last photographs before the start. The Swedish engineer and polar researcher Salomon Andree together with Fraenkel and Strindberg started a flight for the first time over the North Pole in the open balloon Adler'. The participants of the expedition remained lost until 1930 when in the north east of Spitsbergen were found remains, including diaries and photographs.
