The German Zeppelin airship Deutschland II (LZ 8) was destroyed while leaving the balloon hangar in Duesseldorf on 16.05.1911. Soldiers try to salvage the heavily damaged Zeppelin. After its first flight on 30.03.1911 the LZ 8 completed a total of 24 DELAG flights under the command of Dr. Eckener
