This photograph, taken around 1880, shows the Schlossfreiheit at the Berlin Palace (on the right of the picture) in Berlin-Mitte as seen from the street An der Stechbahn. The houses were later demolished for the construction of the Kaiser Wilhelm National Monument. On the left is the shop Schneider und Hauschild
