School choirs on the steps of the Vittoriano in Rome, 1931
To celebrate the Fascist Victory (after the march on Rome in 1922), the annual celebration of it was held in Rome on 4 November 1931. November 4 had also been the National Holiday for the Armed Forces, and in 1921 the inauguration day for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial at the Vittoriano (in the background). On the steps of the Vittoriano sang numerous choirs consisting of students from the schools of Rome
