Look at the war memorial in Bochum created by the company Bochumer Verein fuer Gussstahlfabrikation A.-G. Bochum in the form of a sword with the inscription The God who bid the iron grow didn't want slaves, the opening lines of the Vaterlandlied (Homeland song) by Ernst Moritz Arndt. The inscription below reads: In memory of the workmates fallen in the First World War between 1914-1918. The Fuehrer and the members of the Bochumer Verein decided to establish this memorial during the Reich presidency of Field Marshal v Hindenburg in the first years of the National Government of the People's Chancellor Adolf Hitler'.
