Ship's bell of the German cruiser Emden
The German cruiser Emden was after a successful war effort so badly damaged by the Australian cruiser Sydney at the Cocos Islands, that the commander, Captain Karl von Mueller, put it on base. The bell was stolen from the Australian War Museum and buried in a park near Melbourne. There it was excavated in 1934
