Shooting of the movie The Careless Age, 1929
The camera crew of the first national Vitaphone movie The Careless Age, directed by John Griffith Wray, is preparing the film set for a scene, in which Douglas Fairbanks Jr. as Wyn and Camel Myers as Ray sit in a canoe. Vitaphone was the name of a sound film system by the Warner brothers, which they used in around 2000 sound films. This system guarantees the simultaneity of image and sound in the film. A triple-soundproof camera box was used for the shooting
