The shrunken head of a South American headhunter originating from Brazil, as an exhibit in a Paris museum. This is an exhibition of the Societe de Georgraphie. On display are objects that were brought from the French Icre expedition on the Amazon. A shrunken head has been made by Indians from the mummified head of a killed enemy. The head trophies of the killed enemies were made to acquire their energy and vitality. The mouth has been sewn up by the Indians to prevent the escape of the killed vengeful soul
