Singing festival in the Sportpalast in Berlin, 1927

The singing festival of the German Zentralvereinigung des Christlichen Saengerbundes e.V. (Central Association of the Christian Singers) took place in the Sportpalast in Berlin. About 70 clubs with 2000 singers appeared on the stage on this day. At the top of the picture is the engraved inscription: Size of Arne 2300 m, clear height 28 m, span 43 m. Rebuilt in 1925 by Adolf Sommerfeld, constructor Berlin W9'. This inscription was later removed by the National Socialists, very probably because Adolf Sommerfeld was a Jew
