The SMS Luetzow was a large cruiser of the Imperial Navy. She was the second of three ships of the Derfflinger class. The ship was named after the Prussian general Adolf Freiherr von Luetzow. During World War I, the Luetzow sank in the Battle of Skagerrak in May 1916 because of English hits
