SMS Prince Heinrich, 1902
The SMS Prinz Heinrich was an armoured cruiser (Grosser Kreuzer) of the former Imperial Navy, named after Grand Admiral Prince Heinrich of Prussia. She was a unique ship. In the First World War the Prinz Heinrich belonged to the III Reconnaissance Group. The picture shows the ship shortly after her commissioning in front of the Kaiserliche Werft Kiel ('Imperial shipyard Kiel')
