SMS Yorck, 1906
The SMS Yorck was the second and last ship of the Roon class of the Imperial Navy. Built by Blohm and Voss in Hamburg, the armoured cruiser, officially listed as a grand cruiser, belonged to the active ships in the German fleet from 1905 to 1913. The cruiser sank at the beginning of the First World War on November 4, 1914 in the Jade Estuary following two mine hits
