Speed control, 1925
In 1925 the speed limit for the Berliner city area was 35 km/h. The traffic control was taken over by the so-called Autowacht'. They stopped car drivers who travelled too fast with the sign: Autowacht, please 35 km'. They also noted the car registration numbers of the offenders and registered them in a file. In case of repetition, a report was sent to the police
