Girls prepare a balloon envelope in Spencer's Balloon Factory, where the envelopes of zeppelins are manufactured. The girls are working on a process called rolling goldbeater's skin'. (the fine skin of the ox gut is rolled out, with the help of light hammers). Several men are watching them at work, in the upper left corner hangs a rolled up balloon envelope, behind in the middle are small sample balloons
