St. Burkhard in Wuerzburg, 1931
The Romanesque church St. Burkhard was inaugurated in 1042. The late Gothic transept and the choir were constructed around 1500. The former Benedictine Cloister was transformed into a Ritterstift (knight monastery) for noblemen by Abbot Johann von Allendorf in 1454
