St. John's Church, 1939
View of the church tower of the St. John Church in the city of Gdansk. It is dedicated to both John the Baptist and John the Evangelist. The church was built in 1377 on the site of the wooden St. John's Chapel. Until 1945, the church housed some well-known works of art, such as the Renaissance high altar by Abraham van den Blocke. Every Sunday services are held in Polish, German and Kashubian
