Sudeten German Freikorps near Asch, 1938
The Sudeten German Freikorps take up position on the road from Asch (today As) to Haslau Cheb. The paramilitary unit was founded at the peak of the Sudetenland crisis, which further destabilized Czechoslovakia. According to the Munich Agreement in October 1938, Czechoslovakia had to cede the Sudeten German territories to the German Reich
