Swearing-in of recruits of the Wehrmacht, 1945
Recruits of the Wehrmacht are sworn in in the new style introduced by Heinrich Himmler. This foresaw that the swearing-in ceremony should be held in the presence of local public authorities of the NSDAP and armaments workers. Here the men are making oath on the flag. This is not about a specific troop flag, but the Reichskriegsflagge (Imperial War Flag). Later, the unit commander will hand over the weapons to the men, which he takes from the hand of armaments workers
