Tank maneuver in the USA, 1934
Photo a maneuver of the 424th American Infantry Regiment along with armored formations near the village of Latourette Park in New York State. Until the Second World War, armored cars (also called tanks') were used by all armies in support of the infantry. As the Treaty of Versailles banned every tank for the Germans, they developed the revolutionary strategy of armored units as a separate weapon, to which they owed their victories during World War II
