Thaddaeus Robl
Thaddaeus Robl, world champion in motor-paced racing in 1901 and 1902 and German champion in motor-paced racing in 1908. The popular Thaddy, one of the best motor-paced racers of all time, who was a European Champion for five times, won the Golden Wheel of Friedenau three times and twice the same competition in Steglitz, three times the Grand Prix of Berlin, and also the Grand Prix of Cologne, the Gold Cup of Wroclaw, the European Grand Prix (twice) and the Grand Prix of Dresden. In 1910 he became passionate with flying and crashed on 18.06.1910 in Szczecin
