Thanksgiving speech by Hermann Goering in Berlin Sportpalast
On October 4, 1942, Thanksgiving Day, Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering (left) gave a Thanksgiving speech at the Sportpalast in Berlin-Schoneberg. In the speech he assured to secure food for the German people in the approaching winter. In the picture, Goering awards the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the War to the farmer leader Ernst Ritter (black suit) and farmer leader Fritz Leffler (next to him on the left)
