After the successful completion of the American World Flight the crew of the German Zeppelin airship Graf Zeppelin I (LZ 127), commanded by Commander Dr. Hugo Eckener, is welcomed enthusiastically in the Broadway in New York. The first flight of the LZ 127 took place on 18.09.1928. In 1935, the airship completed its 50th America trip commissioned by the DELAG (07.11.1935). The airship was scrapped on the orders of Hermann Goering when the war began in 1939
