Matus Cernak and Joachim von Ribbentrop sign a treaty between the German Reich and the Slovak State in Berlin. With the treaty the former Polish territories will be annexed to Slovakia. The first Slovak Republic was founded under Hitler's pressure in March 1939, and Bohemia and Moravia were occupied by the Wehrmacht
