The trial of Adolf Hitler, 1924
The photo of a drawing made by the newspaper illustrator of Muenchner Neueste Nachrichten (Munich Latest News) shows the accused Adolf Hitler on March 4, 1924 during his testimony in the trial against him, because of his failed coup attempt on November 9, 1923. As it was not allowed to take photographs in the hall, the newspaper illustrator conveyed readers an impression of the trial. At right the other defendants can be seen, including former Quartermaster General Erich Ludendorff and the military leader of the coup attempt, Kriebel. This drawing has been published only once in 1924 and is one of the few original documents from the trial against Hitler
