Trial with a lorry track in Italy, 1937

A lorry track was built in Italy to test heavy vehicle traffic on a road separate from normal traffic. The test track consisted of concrete without using iron parts. The lorry was supposed to pull no more than 10 trailers with the help of a tractor without hindering other road users. The middle sleeper steered the steering axle of the lorry via its sliding wheels. Road sections in the Italian colonies were supposed to be built faster
