The picture shows the jubilant welcome of Reichswehr troops who march into the Upper Silesian Gliwice. The Treaty of Versailles regulated the belonging of Upper Silesia through a referendum in 1922. As a result of the plebiscite the regions around Gliwice would remain in Germany. Date created: 04.07.1922
