Students of a school in Istanbul (then Constantinople) demonstrate in a public place for the introduction and acceptance of the new Latin characters that were introduced at the turn of the year 1928/1929 by Mustafa Kemal Atatuerk. The children carry placards with various propaganda messages, the demonstration was organized probably by the school
