Turkish troops on the way to the Western Front in the war

The picture shows a train which is just leaving Istanbul to take the soldiers to the Western Front. The picture dates from the time of the Greek-Turkish war, an armed conflict between the Kingdom of Greece and the Anatolian part of the Ottoman Empire. The troops led by Mustafa Kemal Pasha (later Ataturk) are taken in the west of the country to fight against the Greek troops. In the background you can see the Hagia Sophia
