In front of the university of Stambul (city district), a young officer gives a speech to officers, soldiers and students, in honor of the liberation of the Turkish state. The victory over the Greeks and the retreat of the Greek troops from Anatolia are celebrated at the same time. The victory had a decisive influence on the outcome of the Turkish liberation war, which resulted in the founding of modern Turkey by Atatuerk
