Mass meeting of the VDA (People's League for Germans Abroad) with about 30 000 visitors at the Tannenberg Memorial near Hohenstein (now Olsztynek, Poland) at which Walther von Brauchitsch, Lieutenant General and Commander of the Military District 1 (presumably forming a guard of honor at the center in front), and the VDA chairman Hans Steinacher (presumably in the honor guard formation in civilian in front right) lay down their wreaths at the grave of Paul von Hindenburg
