Victory of the knights of the Teutonic Order
The Teutonic Order and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania were fighting for more than 100 years. Reasons of the long war were the plundering of Lithuanians and expansion plans of the Teutonic Order. The Teutonic Knights went to Lithuania in the fourteenth century under the pretext of wanting to convert the pagan Lithuanians to Christianity
