View from the Katherine Church on the Church of St. Mary
This photograph shows the view from St. Catherine's Church on St. Mary's Church. St. Catherine's Church is one of the oldest churches in Gdansk and was probably built at the end of the 19th century. The groundbreaking ceremony of St. Mary's Church took place in 1343 and the church was completed in 1502. It was built in Brick Gothic style. It is one of the largest brick churches north of the Alps and has place for 25, 000 people inside. It houses the famous triptych The Last Judgment by the painter Hans Memling
