The view in 1937 from the Veste Oberhaus is of the peninsula between the Danube (right) and the Inn (left), on which the old town of Passau lies. The Funferlsteg to the church of St. Severin (far left) and the Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Brucke for the railway lead across the Inn. In the old town stands the town hall tower at the old town hall (left front), in front of which tables were set up for a party. At St. Stephan's Cathedral (center of picture) is a wooden scaffold for renovation work
