Viktoria of Schaumburg-Lippe with wounded soldiers

Princess Viktoria of Schaumburg-Lippe (born of Prussia; centre of the picture with the Red Cross armband) stands with wounded and nurses in front of the entrance to the Glueckauf military hospital. The sign next to the entrance reads: Glueckauf. Association Hospital of the Branch Association of the Red Cross for the City and Region of Bonn and of the Patriotic Women's Association of the Region of Bonn'. Viktoria was honorary chair of the women's association and supported the hospital with her donations. The photo was taken in November 1914 after the outbreak of the First World War
