In February 1945, the Silesian capital Breslau was surrounded by Russian troops. On the street collection depots called the Volksopfer, meaning Sacrifice of the people, collect uniforms, blankets, boots and equipment from German civilians to fill the empty supply depot of the Wehrmacht, as seen here on January 20 in Breslau
