Wilhelm Ostwald, 1931

Wilhelm Ostwald, German chemist, physicist and philosopher, in his study. In 1888 he discovered the dilution law named after him, he developed beside the color theory also the doctrine of energetic monism (energetics) and the basis for the Din A-standards for paper sizes. Ostwald received 1909, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on catalytic processes (autocatalysis, 1890) and chemical equilibria and reaction velocities
