William Friedman

William Friedman (American Intelligence Service) was an American specialist who worked on electro-mechanical deciphering machines in the 20s and also wrote operating instructions for them for the American Intelligence Service. With the help of his Purple Machine he had managed the break the Japanese cipher in 1934
