Women in the Armaments Industry, National Socialist

The National Socialist Women's League recruited women to work in the armament industry. Here takes place the instruction of recruited workers at the workplace. The badges of the women show on the white coat the cross symbol as well as on the checked coat on the right the Elhaz life rune with a small swastika which reminds of a triskelion with its rounding. The life rune was used in many ways in the National Socialism and was considered in the philosophy of the Nazi ideology as a symbol of the life-giving ability of femininity. Swastika and triskele are also classic symbols of the Nazis, whereby the triskele, like the rune of life, is considered a national symbol of Aryan mythology.
