A worker in the armaments industry checks the density of a bomb's welding seams by spreading soapy water on them while simultaneously applying air pressure. The date is missing, but the handwritten note Bombs for England on the back of the picture, which was also often noted on other photos of this kind, indicates that it was taken in 1941 or 1942
