Working on the airship Parseval III. 1909
The non-rigid blimp Parseval III. which is under construction in the workshop in Bitterfeld is built for the German Aero Club. Unlike the Zeppelin type in which a rigid framework ensured the external shape stability, in this Parseval the airship shell was ensured by the overpressure of the buoyant gas. After the first successful ascent on 26/05/1906 August Franz Max von Parseval built in Bitterfeld a total of 23 rigid airships
