Yeomen of the Guard, 1932
Before the arrival of the King to the opening ceremony of the House of Lords the building is inspected for explosives by the Yeomen of the Guard, the members of the Palace Guard. This is an old custom which has survived since the Gunpowder Plot of Guy Fawkes. The image shows the arrival of the Yeomen of the Guard for the inspection
