Members of the BDM from the Gau Ost Kurmark are holding a chick on the chicken farm of the youth hostel Sandseeheim near Reppen in Brandenburg (now Rzepin in Poland ). The girls were working there as emergency service in the framework of the Reichswerbe- und Opfertag (feast of sacrifice) of the German Youth Hostel Association
