Young South Tyroleans at military exercises, 1919-1932
A group of young South Tyrolean men, under the guidance of an Italian officer, are doing Sunday military exercises. This was one of the radical measures for the Italianization of South Tyrol after the First World War. With regular participation in the exercises, young men were exempted from a third of their 18-month military service (undated photo)
