Edmund Dawson Rogers, journalist and spiritualist
Edmund Dawson Rogers (1823-1910), English journalist and spiritualist, first editor of the Eastern Daily Press and founder of the National Press Agency. He was interested in mesmerism and mesmeric healing, founded the spiritualist journal Light, and the Society for Psychical Research. He was a founding member of the London Spiritualist Alliance, later known as the College of Psychic Studies, and was its president from 1892 until 1910
