Florence Cook (c.1856-1904) was an English medium who claimed to materialise a spirit named Katie King. Seen here in a German studio photo, sitting on a carved wooden chair. She visited Berlin in 1899 to undertake seances under test conditions for the Sphinx Society. She has signed the photograph with her married name, Corner
