Beishanlong dinosaur in Gansu, China, along with

Beishanlong dinosaur during the Xinminbao Group in Gansu, China, alon with small Archaeoceratops in the foreground. This is a representation of the Xinminbao Group in Gansu, China. This is the early Cretaceous about 120 million years ago. Beishanlong has been established as a very large deinocheirid ornithomimosaur. Remains are of a 26 foot long sub-adult, meaning it was not fully grown, and the skeleton shows there is room for growth. This would make it one of the largest ornithomimosaurs. Enough remains are present to get a good picture of the animal. Nearby in the foreground is one of the smallest ceratopsians, Archaeoceratops. No horns and only a bony frill, they were herbivores about a meter long, (three feet, three inches)
